French points
- NCLC 7 or higher in all four French skills and CLB 5 or higher in all four English skills: 50 points.
- NCLC 7 or higher in all four French skills and CLB 4 or lower in English (or no English test): 25 points.
- French-language proficiency rounds in 2026 closed between 382 and 435.

Provincial nomination
A provincial nomination adds 600 CRS points. PNP rounds in 2026 closed between 697 and 805. BC PNP connects to Express Entry through its EEBC option.

Job offer and Canadian work experience points
The CRS additional points currently include no points for a job offer. IRCC has announced that as of 2026-11-03 it is changing how points are awarded for Canadian work experience and valid job offers, and removing the LMIA requirement for all job offers.
- When the change takes effect the system recalculates existing profiles, which could take up to two weeks; invitation rounds pause until it is complete.
- If you have a valid job offer without an LMIA and have not included it, update your profile.
- Where a job offer is part of a program's eligibility (Federal Skilled Trades, Federal Skilled Worker, some provincial streams), that does not change.
